Great Forest Park Meet

Now that SLOC has an up to date map of Forest Park, the annual summer meet at Forest Park is back. The unveiling of the new map was the Return of the Great Forest Park Meet this spring (which was also US Intercollegiate Championships).

For the August meet, Rob Wagnon was course setter. He set a course that emphasized route choice with some fairly long legs. The course was only 7.5 Km, shorter than the traditional 10K for the Great Forest Park Meet, but probably just as well since it was very hot.

I might have been thought the favorite for this one, since I made the map. However, David was on great form and won by a couple minutes. Interestingly, we took the same route on nearly all the controls � the only significant difference being that he went straight through the woods to #5 while I took the path around.
